GCSE/A-level French Tutoring

To have another language is to possess a second soul. — Charlemagne

With the government changes to the new GCSE and A level exams, students face new challenges regarding languages. Translation, a better understanding of grammar, a more spontaneous conversation and an increased knowledge of French culture, are but a few of the skills that are now expected at this level. During tutoring sessions, I aim to help students grasp the differents aspects of the language as well as the cultural side of the different texts and movies they are studying in lessons. Finally, I designed each session to enable students to make progress.

Tutoring choices: One to one / Small Groups

There are two possibilities regarding tuition for GCSE/A-level students: one-to-one private tuition or small group tuition. Each have their advantages: one to one allows for more in depth tuition, more time to concentrate on a particular skill that the student is struggling with, such as listening or to tackle other learning issues. Small group tuition offer the same advantages at a more attractive price since the cost of the session is divided between 2, 3 or 4 students.

Feedback from our students

Beatrix (A level)
Nathalie is a wonderful tutor. She's energetic and enthusiastic and always prepares thoroughly for her lessons which absolutely fly by. My daughter who is studying A level french absolutely loves her and has learned so much already. It's great to have a native French speaker teaching at this level too. I cannot praise Nathalie highly enough and thoroughly recommend her as a tutor. -- Jessica - Beatrix's Mum
